Few companies shape the future of electronics quite like ASML. As the world's leading supplier of lithography systems for the semiconductor industry, ASML's machines sit at the heart of every advanced chip produced today, from the processors in our laptops to the AI accelerators driving the next generation of computing. Their EUV (extreme ultraviolet) lithography technology is widely regarded as one of the most complex engineering achievements of our time, combining precision optics, plasma physics, mechatronics, control engineering, and software on a scale that is hard to overstate.
On May 20th, ASML will visit Thor for a lunch lecture. It is a great opportunity to hear directly from the engineers behind the technology, get a sense of the kind of work that goes on inside one of the Netherlands' most influential high-tech companies, and see where electrical engineers fit into the picture. Expect a mix of technical insight, real-world engineering challenges, and an honest look at what day-to-day work at ASML actually involves.
Whether you are exploring options for an internship, a graduation project, or a future career in high-tech, this is a chance to learn from one of the most important players in the field and to ask the questions you would not get answered in a brochure.
Lunch and drinks will be provided during the lecture.
